    1000 Words: Dancing in the full moon

    Papier mache creations Pied Pipered their way through Myanmar's villages and towns this month, in celebration of the country's Tazaungdaing full moon festival. Rural areas stuck with traditional creatures like this little rat spotted near Pathein but, in cities like Yangon, a huge number of gigantic Angry Birds were spotted parading the streets too!


    MYANMAR: Happy New Year 1374!

    Today marks the first day of Thingyan, the Myanmar New Year festival. It is a time to wipe ones slate clean and prepare to start the New Year fresh. It is a time for family, and friends. A time for reflection and resolutions. 

    We asked some of our customers and staff around the country what their hopes were for the New Year, and the Thingyan festival. In this lovely video, they share some of their responses:


    YANGON: Yetagon @ Shwedagon

    This month, Myanmar's most famous monument, the Shwedagon Pagoda, hit the big 2600.

    Faced with thousands of flowers to keep watered for the celebration, the grounds committee approached our drip team for advice. We obliged, and when we went along to the party, we found our lovely Yetagon banner floating amidst all the "coffeemix" balloons.
